PBS’s Judy Woodruff joins Arthur C. Brooks and Neera Tanden for ACE2017 closing plenary
ACE is proud to announce two noted thinkers from the left and right at the closing plenary at ACE2017, the American Council on Education’s 99th Annual Meeting. The discussion will explore the competition of social, political, and economic ideas from a conservative and progressive point of view, as expressed by:
- Arthur C. Brooks, president of the American Enterprise Institute; and
- Neera Tanden, CEO of the Center for American Progress; with
- moderator Judy Woodruff, co-anchor and managing editor of PBS NewsHour.
In a field with significant public investment, a successful higher education leader must look beyond today’s political and policy debates to pinpoint the competing ideas, values, and policies that are framing our national dialogue on the economy and society. Understanding this back-and-forth of ideas forms the foundation of insight needed to create mission-centered, resilient, and value-adding institutions. Join us in Washington to gain insights on the future of higher education.
